Green Canopy NODE Welcomes Emily Dawson to Board of Directors
SEATTLE, Washington (August 13, 2024) - Green Canopy NODE, a leading full-service development partner specializing in sustainable housing, is pleased to announce the appointment of Emily Dawson to its Board of Directors. With this addition, the board now consists of six members.
Emily Dawson, a licensed architect and mass timber expert, leads the way in bio-based structural solutions, aiming to transform buildings to behave more like plants and industries like forests. Since designing Oregon's first Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) structure in 2013, she has been a prominent advocate for mass timber. With extensive experience in European mass timber, modular, and industrialized construction, Emily integrates off-site fabrication approaches into her work.
In 2022, she founded Single Widget to focus on low-carbon structural advancements through product development and built work. Her consulting firm Field Edge was established in 2024 to connect natural resources and regenerative industry-scale projects. She received her degree in Architecture from Cornell University in 2003.
